Bhagalpur : Indian Railways has presented a monumental and historic gift to railway passengers in eastern Bihar and the Anga region. To make travel seamless and modern between Ahmedabad in Gujarat and the renowned silk city of Bhagalpur in Bihar, the railways has announced the operation of a new Amrit Bharat Express. According to the Railway Board notification, the clone special train previously operating between Ahmedabad and Patna has been regularized and extended up to Bhagalpur. This new train will commence its regular service starting August 26, 2026, from Ahmedabad and August 28, 2026, from Bhagalpur. The launch of this train will provide millions of passengers traveling between Gujarat, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, and Bihar with direct and comfortable rail connectivity.

Operational Days and Time Table

This weekly train will operate in both directions according to a fixed schedule:

Train No. 19423 (Ahmedabad to Bhagalpur): This train will depart from Ahmedabad every Wednesday at 06:30 PM and arrive in Bhagalpur at 06:40 AM on Friday, passing through various major stations.

Train No. 19424 (Bhagalpur to Ahmedabad): In the return direction, the train will depart from Bhagalpur every Friday at 04:45 PM and reach Ahmedabad at 05:25 AM on the third day, Sunday.

Journey Duration: Covering this long distance of approximately 1,976 kilometers, the train will take an average of 36 hours 10 minutes to 36 hours 15 minutes in both directions. The average speed of this train has been fixed at approximately 54.5 kilometers per hour.
