A Major Gift for Students in Bhagalpur 'Vidyarthi Sahyog Portal' Launched; Special Camps to Be Held in Educational Institutions on the Fourth Tuesday of Every Month

Bhagalpur: To ensure rapid and transparent resolutions for educational and hostel-related grievances faced by students across Bihar, the state government has taken a monumental step. The highly anticipated 'Vidyarthi Sahyog Portal' has been officially inaugurated by the Chief Minister from the capital city of Patna. With the rollout of this high-tech portal, students in Bhagalpur and throughout the state will no longer need to run from office to office to register complaints or secure time-bound solutions. A live stream of this state-level event was witnessed at the Review Hall (Sameeksha Bhawan) in the Bhagalpur Collectorate, where the District Magistrate and other administrative officials participated online via video conferencing.

Enthusiasm Witnessed in Bhagalpur: Officials and College Principals Gather at Review Hall

During this virtual launch event hosted in Patna, administrative readiness and extensive participation of educational institutions were also visible in Bhagalpur:

Meeting at the Review Hall: District Magistrate Alankrita Pandey, Senior Superintendent of Police Pramod Kumar Yadav, along with principals and representatives of all colleges affiliated with Tilka Manjhi Bhagalpur University (TMBU), were present at the program held in the Review Hall at district headquarters.

Outlining Operating Procedures: During the session, officials and college principals discussed the operational modalities of the portal and upcoming action plans at length. Special directives were issued regarding the redressal of student complaints through this portal across Bhagalpur’s educational institutions.

'Vidyarthi Sahyog Camps' to Be Held on the Fourth Tuesday of Every Month

Under this scheme, robust arrangements have been established to hear student grievances not only online but also at the grassroots level:

Special Camps on Fixed Days: Special 'Vidyarthi Sahyog Camps' will be organized on the fourth Tuesday of every month across all government educational institutions, universities, colleges, and hostels in the state. If the designated Tuesday falls on a public holiday, the camp will be held on the subsequent working day.

Opportunity for Direct Dialogue: In these camps, students can present their studies, college facilities, hostel difficulties, and other academic problems or suggestions directly to the concerned authorities.

Key Features and Benefits of the Vidyarthi Sahyog Portal

The portal has been designed with student convenience and absolute transparency in mind:

Mandatory Resolution Within 30 Days: Complaints registered online on the portal must be resolved within a maximum of 30 days from the date of submission. Applicants will receive written notification following resolution.

Complete Focus on Confidentiality: To ensure student safety and a fear-free environment, this service is entirely free of charge and confidential. The identities of both the complaining student and the individual against whom the complaint is lodged will remain completely secret.

Helpline Number 1100: If students encounter any technical difficulties registering complaints on the online portal, they can contact the toll-free helpline number 1100 for assistance.

Auto-Notice System: A strict rule has been formulated to establish administrative accountability. If action on a student's complaint does not commence within 10 days, an automatic notice will be issued from the Chief Minister's Office on the 11th day. Thereafter, strict disciplinary action will be taken against personnel exhibiting negligence within the stipulated timeline.

Ground Campaign to Commence on August 25

To operationalize this system across Bhagalpur and Bihar, a special Vidyarthi Sahyog campaign will kick off across all schools, colleges, and hostels starting August 25. Under this initiative, special kiosks equipped with computers, printers, and internet access are being established within educational institutions to prevent students from facing any difficulty while submitting online applications.

For students in Bhagalpur and throughout the state, the 'Vidyarthi Sahyog Portal' and the monthly 'Vidyarthi Sahyog Camps' will prove to be revolutionary shifts in the educational ecosystem. By ensuring rapid resolution of university and college-level issues, students' academic sessions will run smoothly while narrowing the gap between administration and students. The Bhagalpur district administration has resolved to implement this scheme on the ground with utmost diligence.
