Bhagalpur : The commencement of the B.Tech Semester-1 academic session for 2026-27 at the Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT Bhagalpur), located in the Silk City, unfolded within an environment brimming with enthusiasm. The admission of youth originating from diverse states across the nation into this fresh cohort has transformed the institution into a veritable 'Mini India'. A total of 365 students have enrolled in the institute, comprising 330 male and 35 female students. Notably, meritorious young men and women from every corner of the country—led by robust contingents from Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, and Rajasthan—have arrived in Bhagalpur to pursue technical education, generating an extraordinary mosaic of cultural and linguistic harmony across the campus.

The Top Three States: Headlining the roster, 102 students from Bihar secured admission this term. They are closely followed by 92 students from Uttar Pradesh and 44 meritorious youth from Rajasthan.
