Patna/New Delhi: The political atmosphere over the alleged NEET paper leak case has intensified, with the issue triggering fresh exchanges between the ruling NDA and the Opposition. Following the Opposition's protest near the Prime Minister's residence in New Delhi over the alleged examination irregularities, JDU National Working President and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Kumar Jha launched a sharp attack on the Congress and Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi.

Reacting to the protest, Sanjay Kumar Jha said that avoiding discussion inside Parliament and instead creating unrest on the streets does not strengthen democracy. According to him, democracy provides constitutional institutions such as Parliament where issues of national importance should be debated and resolved. He alleged that the Opposition was attempting to create unnecessary political confrontation instead of participating in constructive discussions.

In a post shared on his X (formerly Twitter) account on Tuesday, Sanjay Kumar Jha acknowledged that the leakage of examination papers is a serious and unfortunate issue that affects the future of lakhs of students. He said that no responsible government can ignore such incidents and emphasized that strict measures are necessary to eliminate examination-related malpractice.

According to the JDU leader, paper leak incidents have occurred in various national and state-level examinations over several decades and are not limited to any single government or administration. He argued that the issue requires comprehensive legal reforms, stronger monitoring mechanisms, and coordinated action by investigative agencies to prevent such crimes in the future.

Rahul Gandhi Targeted Over Protest

Without mincing words, Sanjay Kumar Jha criticized Rahul Gandhi's role in the Opposition's protest. He alleged that instead of participating in parliamentary discussions on matters concerning students, the Congress leader was encouraging demonstrations outside Parliament.

Jha claimed that democratic traditions require elected representatives to raise public concerns through debate, legislative discussions, and policy interventions rather than through confrontational street protests. He described the protest near the Prime Minister's residence as an attempt to generate political controversy instead of finding practical solutions to the issue.

He added that the investigation is progressing and those found guilty would not be spared regardless of their position or influence.
