Bhagalpur : To make the city’s sanitation system more effective and modern, the municipal corporation is preparing to increase the number of vehicles and other resources used for cleaning work under a new model RFP (Request for Proposal). The new model proposes increasing the number of vehicles and resources to approximately 1.5 times the current level. The objective is to improve garbage collection, transportation and street-cleaning services across the city.
The municipal corporation has long faced a shortage of adequate sanitation vehicles and equipment. In several wards, limited vehicle availability affects the regular collection and transportation of waste. The increase in resources under the new model RFP is therefore being seen as an important step towards improving the city’s sanitation services.
Municipal Sanitation Fleet to Expand
Once the new model is implemented, the number of sanitation vehicles available to the municipal corporation is expected to increase significantly. The expansion may include vehicles used for garbage collection and transportation, along with other necessary cleaning machines and equipment.
