Buxar, July 30 (Thursday): A remarkable display of faith and devotion was witnessed at the historic Rameshwarnath Temple (Ramrekha Ghat) in Buxar on the first day of the holy month of Shravan. Thousands of devotees gathered at the temple from the early hours of the morning to offer prayers and perform Jalabhishek (ritual water offering) to Lord Shiva. The temple complex echoed with chants of "Har Har Mahadev" and "Bol Bam," creating a deeply spiritual atmosphere.

Carrying Ganga water, bael (bilva) leaves, dhatura flowers, sacred rice, flowers, and prayer offerings, devotees performed traditional rituals and sought Lord Shiva's blessings for peace, prosperity, good health, and the well-being of their families. Men, women, children, and elderly devotees from different regions participated in the celebrations, filling the temple premises with devotion.

Worship Began Early in the Morning

As soon as the temple doors opened at dawn, devotees began arriving in large numbers. Temple priests performed the ceremonial worship and decorated the Shiva Lingam while chanting Vedic hymns. Soon afterward, devotees were allowed to begin the Jalabhishek rituals.
