Seminar Organized by the Memorial Forum in Bhagalpur
Bhagalpur: A special event was organized with the objective of preserving the memories of the great educationist, staunch nationalist, and founder of the Bharatiya Jana Sangh, Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee, and to propagate his ideas to the new generation. Under the auspices of the 'Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee Memorial Forum,' a seminar and tribute meeting were held at the Community Hall located in Chaiti Durga Sthan in the city. Enlightened citizens, intellectuals, and social activists of the city participated in the event and engaged in an extensive discussion on the personality and contributions of Dr. Mookerjee.
A Pillar of Nationalism and Akhand Bharat
The program commenced with the offering of floral tributes to the portrait of Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee. Members of the Memorial Forum stated that Dr. Mookerjee’s entire life was dedicated to nationalism. They remarked that he firmly believed that "in one country, there cannot be two constitutions, two flags, and two prime ministers." The sacrifice he made for the integration of Kashmir and the maintenance of India’s integrity remains a source of inspiration for crores of Indians even today.

A large number of youth attended the program. The speakers told the youth about the struggles in Dr. Mookerjee's life, when he renounced the allure of power and kept the national interest paramount. One speaker said, "Today's youth often forget their cultural values in the race for careers. The life of Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee teaches us how we can fulfill our responsibilities toward society and the nation alongside our careers."
Future Plans of the Memorial Forum
During the program, the 'Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee Memorial Forum' announced several creative initiatives for the future:
School-Level Debate Competitions: Essay and debate competitions based on his life will be organized in various schools across the district.
Literary Repository: A proposal was made to develop a digital library that will house a collection of Dr. Mookerjee's thoughts and books based on them.
Social Service Camps: The forum plans to organize health and education camps from time to time, dedicated to Dr. Mookerjee's humanitarian approach.
