Special Meeting Regarding Shravan Preparations at Shiv Shakti Temple; Mahant Arun Baba Assigns Responsibilities to Volunteers

BHAGALPUR: With the arrival of the holy month of Shravan, the atmosphere in the centers of faith across Bhagalpur has become vibrant. In this sequence, a high-level meeting was organized at the famous Shiv Shakti Temple in Bhagalpur to discuss the upcoming Shravan preparations and ensure the convenience of the devotees. Chaired by Mahant Arun Baba, the meeting focused extensively on temple campus management, crowd control, and the facilities to be provided to the worshippers.

Mahant Arun Baba's Call: "Service to Devotees is the Highest Worship"

Opening the meeting, Mahant Arun Baba stated that the month of Shravan holds special significance for Shiva devotees. During this time, a large number of Kanwariyas and local devotees visit the temple to offer Jalabhishek. The Mahant emphasized that the primary priority is to ensure that every devotee has the good fortune of witnessing and worshipping Lord Shiva without any inconvenience. He called upon all volunteers and workers to perform their duties with a spirit of service.

Special Emphasis on Security and Crowd Management

A solid strategy was devised to control the crowds that flock to the temple on every Monday of Shravan and during special religious occasions. The key points of the discussion were:

Queue-Based Darshan: It was decided to reinforce the barricading system for the convenience of devotees to prevent stampede-like situations during peak hours.

CCTV Surveillance: There was a consensus on increasing the number of CCTV cameras—from the inner sanctum to the main gates—and activating a dedicated control room to monitor every corner of the premises.

Deployment of Volunteers: Temple attendants and volunteers have been divided into different groups. In addition to managing the queues, they will also assist the elderly and women.

Basic Facilities for Devotees

Mahant Arun Baba directed that devotees visiting the temple should not face any inconvenience. The following arrangements have been ensured:

Drinking Water: Given the heat and humidity, cold drinking water facilities will be set up at multiple locations within the campus.

Sanitation: Extra cleaning staff have been appointed for the entire month of Shravan, who will remain active 24/7 to maintain the cleanliness of the campus.

First Aid: Considering health concerns, a temporary first-aid center will be established within the temple premises, stocked with necessary medicines and staffed by trained personnel.

Responsibilities Assigned to Volunteers

During the meeting, major responsibilities were assigned to the key members of the temple committee. The Mahant made it clear that any form of negligence during Shravan will not be tolerated. He announced that:

Some volunteers have been tasked with 'Parking Management' to prevent traffic jams outside the temple.

A separate team has been appointed to ensure the smooth supply of 'worship materials, flowers, and garlands' during special prayers.

Separate monitoring will be kept on sound systems and security during cultural programs and Bhajan-Kirtan.

Creating a Spiritual Atmosphere

Mahant Arun Baba emphasized that it is also the duty of the workers to maintain a peaceful and devotional atmosphere in the temple. He also outlined plans to make the special Rudrabhishek and Maha Aarti scheduled during Shravan grander. He added that special floral decorations will be arranged for the devotees visiting this Shravan.

 A Resolution for Smooth Darshan

At the end of the meeting, the Mahant inspired everyone to work with a spirit of 'teamwork.' He expressed confidence that due to the readiness of the volunteers and pre-planned arrangements, this year's Shravan festival will be unforgettable for the people of Bhagalpur.

This meeting at the Shiv Shakti Temple was not just a part of the preparations but also reflects the temple administration's dedication to the devotees. For the Shiva devotees of Bhagalpur, this is reassuring news that the entire arrangement for their darshan at their beloved temple is now in safe and organized hands.
