Patna: A state-level review meeting of the TB-Free India Campaign was conducted through video conferencing under the chairmanship of the Chief Secretary of the Bihar government. During the meeting, the progress of the TB elimination campaign, identification of patients, testing arrangements, treatment facilities, and awareness programs were reviewed in detail.

Officials were instructed to ensure extensive screening for TB infection and start timely treatment for identified patients. The government aims to make effective efforts at all levels to achieve the goal of making Bihar TB-free.

Review of TB Elimination Campaign

The meeting was attended by officials from the Health Department, district representatives, and officers from concerned departments. The Chief Secretary reviewed the status of the TB control program across districts and issued necessary guidelines to officials.

He said that TB is a serious disease, but it can be completely controlled through early detection and regular treatment. Therefore, identifying patients at an early stage and connecting them with healthcare services is the most important priority.

Instructions to Speed Up Screening Campaign
