Strict Action by TTE and RPF at Bamanbhi Railway Junction; Panic Among Those Wandering and Traveling Without Tickets

At Bamanbhi Railway Junction, which counts among the historic and busy railway stations in Bihar's Purnia district, the railway administration has recently adopted a strict posture. It was frequently observed that people used to roam around the station premises and platforms merely for leisure or passing time without any valid business, causing inconvenience to passengers and compromising security arrangements. To curb this, the railway has now launched a sweeping crackdown against individuals traveling without tickets as well as those roaming the platforms ticketless.

Special Ticket Checking Drive Triggers Panic

Initiated under the guidelines of Northeast Frontier Railway or the concerned railway division, this sudden intensive checking drive at Bamanbhi Junction has sparked panic at the station.

Patrols at Ticket Counters and Entry Gates: The checking team has taken positions at all entry and exit gates of the junction. Strict checks are being conducted on individuals entering the station premises without platform tickets.

Intensive Checking in Trains: A team of Traveling Ticket Examiners (TTEs) also boarded various passenger and express trains passing through Bamanbhi Junction to check passenger tickets. Heavy fines were collected on the spot from individuals caught traveling without tickets.

Noose on Anti-Social Elements: Railway officials state that many people use the station premises for aimless wandering, which frequently raises apprehensions of incidents like theft or harassment. This campaign will automatically rein in such elements.

Two-Pronged Warning from Railway Officials

Railway Protection Force (RPF) and commercial department officials deployed at Bamanbhi Junction issued a clear warning that this campaign is not a one-day affair but will continue relentlessly moving forward.

Provision for Legal Action: Citing rules under the Railway Act, officials explained that wandering on railway premises or platforms without a valid ticket is a punishable offense. If caught, failure to pay a fine carries provisions leading up to imprisonment under legal procedures.

Appeal to Passengers: The railway administration appealed to the general public and passengers to enter the station premises only with a valid ticket or platform ticket and to cooperate with the administration by following rules.

Reaction of Ordinary Citizens and Regular Passengers

Regular and general passengers have heartily welcomed this strict action by the railways. Passengers stated that such campaigns will reduce unnecessary crowding on platforms, curb thieves, petty criminals, and eve-teasers, and notably boost railway revenue. A climate of fear was clearly visible among ticketless travelers and people lingering around the station without work following this surprise raid.

Strict Checking: A comprehensive campaign has been launched at Bamanbhi Junction against ticketless passengers and platform loafers.

Improvement in Revenue and Security: This initiative will boost railway revenues and establish more robust security arrangements on station premises.

Administrative Warning: Stricter legal actions and fine recoveries will continue against rule-breakers in the future as well.
