According to the notice issued by the examination department, the Part-2 practical exams will be conducted at various designated examination centers between August 3 and August 10. Following this much-anticipated announcement, science, arts, and music faculty students have begun putting the finishing touches on their preparations. Practical examinations for subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Home Science, Music, and others will be held at nodal centers established across different colleges, for which the university has released a detailed schedule.
Key Examination Dates and Duration
As per the information provided by the TMBU examination department, necessary directives have been dispatched to all constituent and affiliated colleges under the university to facilitate the smooth conduct of the practical exams:
Exam Schedule: The practical examinations will commence on August 3 and run through August 10. Separate dates have been allocated according to various subjects to ensure students do not encounter any clashes in their examination timings.
Two-Shift Operation: Taking into account the number of students, practical exams for most subjects will be conducted in two shifts (first shift and second shift) to ensure comprehensive evaluation proceeds smoothly.
Determination of Subject-Wise Centers and Arrangements
To ensure student convenience, the TMBU administration has designated various colleges as examination centers where students from the respective institutions will appear for their exams:
Science Subjects: For subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Botany, and Zoology, examinees from affiliated and constituent colleges must report to their home centers or specific nodal centers designated by the university. Chemistry and Physics practicals will be conducted under the supervision of external examiners.
Arts and Vocational Subjects: Separate centers have been allocated for male and female students for practical exams in subjects like Home Science and Music. Examinees appearing for Music and Home Science practical projects and the viva-voce have been instructed to arrive at their centers on time along with their admit cards.
Important University Guidelines for Examinees
The university administration has issued several essential guidelines that are mandatory for all students participating in the examinations:
Admit Card: All examinees must bring their original TMBU Part-2 admit card issued by their college along with their college identity card. Entry into the examination hall or laboratory will not be permitted without an admit card.
Practical Record/Notebook: It is mandatory for science, home science, and music students to bring their duly signed practical record books or journals. Assigning marks in the practical exam without these will not be possible.
Punctuality: Examinees have been instructed to report to their designated exam centers at least 30 minutes prior to the start of the exam so that seating arrangements and other formalities can be completed on time in accordance with roll numbers.
Instructions to Colleges: Fair and Malpractice-Free Examinations
The Controller of Examinations at TMBU has issued formal letters to principals and heads of departments at all concerned examination centers, explicitly directing that practical examinations be conducted in a completely peaceful, malpractice-free, and transparent manner. Furthermore, instructions have been given to dispatch all mark counterfoils in sealed envelopes to the university headquarters immediately upon the conclusion of the exams to facilitate timely declaration of results.
