Important and reassuring news has emerged for the advocates of Muzaffarpur district as continuous efforts are being made by the state and central governments to strengthen Bihar's judicial infrastructure and provide better basic facilities to advocates (lawyers). Under a centrally sponsored scheme, the path has been cleared for the construction of a modern Lawyers Hall for advocates in Muzaffarpur. This significant project will cost a total of Rs 70.85 lakhs.

Announcement by Law Minister Sanjay Singh Tiger and Financial Provision

Sharing information regarding this project, State Law Minister Sanjay Singh Tiger stated that the state government is extremely serious about strengthening the judiciary. The Law Minister informed that a budget of Rs 80 lakhs each has been provisioned for the construction of lawyers' halls in all civil courts across the state to facilitate advocates' seating and the smooth execution of their professional duties.

Administrative and financial approval of Rs 70.85 lakhs has been granted for the construction of this hall in the Muzaffarpur civil court under the centrally sponsored scheme. With this amount, a modern hall will be developed within the court premises, providing high-level facilities for lawyers to meet their clients, discuss case files, and study.

Objective of the Project and Facilities for Lawyers

It is frequently observed that district courts across the country and the state lack adequate seating space for lawyers, forcing them to sit under the open sky or under trees in the heat and rain to wait for their clients. To resolve this long-standing grievance of advocates, these lawyers' halls are being constructed through the joint initiative of the central and state governments.

The new lawyers' hall to be built in Muzaffarpur will feature the following key amenities:

Spacious and Ventilated Room: A large hall for lawyers to sit, equipped with fans, coolers, and adequate lighting.

Library Cum Reading Room: A well-equipped reading corner for lawyers to study legal books and reference texts.

Digital Facilities: Keeping the modern digital era in mind, computer and internet connectivity will be provided for online case filing and advocates' work.

Drinking Water and Sanitation: Arrangements for pure drinking water and modern restrooms for advocates and visiting clients.

Improvement in Judicial System and Lawyers' Reaction

The development of court infrastructure in Bihar not only provides convenience to lawyers in their work but also accelerates the disposal of lawsuits. Following this information shared by Law Minister Sanjay Singh Tiger, immense enthusiasm has been witnessed among the Muzaffarpur District Bar Association and local advocates. Praising this step by the government and the department, lawyers have demanded that this construction work be completed with full quality within a stipulated timeframe.

This lawyers' hall to be constructed in the Muzaffarpur civil court at a cost of Rs 70.85 lakhs is a major gift for the district's advocates. This project will not only improve the working environment for lawyers but will also prove instrumental in making the judicial system more effective and accessible. The administration is soon working on selecting an agency to commence the construction work.
