Patna: Voting for the politically significant Bankipur Assembly by-election in Bihar began at 7:00 a.m. on Thursday. Voters started arriving at polling stations early in the morning to exercise their democratic right, reflecting strong enthusiasm for the high-profile electoral contest in the state capital. The Election Commission has made elaborate security arrangements to ensure peaceful, free, and fair polling.
