According to the information received, an individual was moving around a busy area of Sitamarhi town in a luxury car equipped with a 'Police' board and a hooter, introducing himself as a DSP. Using his intimidating persona, this fake DSP trapped an on-duty traffic constable deployed at the location. The bogus officer leveled serious and fabricated allegations of involvement in corruption against the traffic constable.
Intimidating and threatening the constable, he forced him to sit inside his vehicle and took him along. Despite being a uniformed police officer, the traffic constable was left perplexed by the clout and intimidation of the fake DSP. Thereafter, the accused demanded money in exchange for releasing the constable. Driven by fear and mental pressure, the traffic constable somehow arranged and handed over Rs 10,000 in cash to him. After pocketing the money, the fake DSP dropped him midway and fled the scene at high speed.
