Five Injured, Including a Woman, in Clash at Aurangabad Village; Two in Critical Condition
KAHALGAON (Bhagalpur): A minor disagreement escalated into a major violent clash on Friday in Aurangabad village, located within the jurisdiction of the Kahalgaon police station in Bihar. The altercation, rooted in an ongoing old mutual dispute between two groups, resulted in five people, including a woman, sustaining serious injuries. A tense atmosphere currently prevails throughout the area. The injured were rushed to the Kahalgaon Sub-Divisional Hospital for treatment, where, following initial stabilization, two individuals in critical condition were referred for advanced medical care.
Details of the Incident: Dispute Started Over a Farm Boundary
According to the information received, the root of the dispute is said to be quite old. On Friday, when residents of Aurangabad village were near their fields, a disagreement broke out between the two parties over an issue. Within moments, the argument turned into a heated confrontation, and both sides began attacking each other with sticks, rods, and sharp-edged weapons.
Villagers present at the scene reported that the clash was so intense that both sides struck each other relentlessly. A woman and four men were severely injured in the brawl. Hearing the commotion, when nearby residents rushed to the spot, the attackers fled the scene.
Condition of the Injured and Chaos at the Hospital
Upon receiving the information, local police immediately became active and transported the injured to the Kahalgaon Sub-Divisional Hospital via ambulance. Doctors on duty examined the victims.
List of the Injured: Those injured in the fight include Ramvilas Singh, Suresh Mandal, Suman Devi (the woman), Ajay Kumar, and Vijay Kumar.
Critical Condition: According to the doctors, Ramvilas and Suman Devi sustained deep injuries to their heads and internal parts of their bodies. Seeing no improvement in their condition despite initial treatment, they were referred to Mayaganj Hospital in Bhagalpur. The other three injured are currently undergoing treatment at the Kahalgaon Sub-Divisional Hospital, where their condition is now reported to be out of danger.
Police Action and Investigation
Upon receiving news of the incident, police from the Kahalgaon station reached the spot to assess the situation. The Station House Officer (SHO) stated that a written complaint has been filed by the aggrieved party. Given the severity of the matter, the police have initiated legal action against both sides. The SHO remarked, "We are increasing patrols to maintain peace in the village. The culprits will not be spared at any cost. Currently, an FIR has been registered, and raids are being conducted to apprehend the accused."

A sense of unease has gripped Aurangabad village since the incident. Police have been deployed to prevent any further untoward incidents. Villagers are deeply shocked by this violence, as both sides had been living as neighbors for a long time.
