Fruits and Juice Distributed Among DevoteesServing Lord Shiva’s Devotees Described as the Greatest Virtue, Large Number of Pilgrims Benefit from Service Camp
Bhagalpur : A beautiful combination of faith and service was witnessed when fruits and juice were distributed among devotees of Lord Shiva. Describing the service of Shiva devotees as one of the greatest acts of virtue, organisers and volunteers provided fruits, juice and other essential refreshments to a large number of pilgrims. The service camp witnessed considerable enthusiasm among devotees.
The service programme was organised during the holy month of Shravan, when devotees undertake religious journeys with deep faith in Lord Shiva. The initiative provided much-needed relief to pilgrims travelling from distant places. Fruits and chilled juice were distributed to help devotees cope with fatigue, heat and humidity during their journey. Volunteers remained actively involved in the arrangements and distributed refreshments to devotees in an orderly manner.
Members of the organising team said that serving devotees of Lord Shiva is not merely a social responsibility but also an act of faith and devotion. Shiva devotees often undertake long and difficult journeys with unwavering devotion. Helping and serving them during their pilgrimage is therefore considered a matter of honour and spiritual satisfaction.
Large Number of Devotees Benefited
The service camp began receiving devotees from the morning. As the day progressed, the number of pilgrims increased. Volunteers managed the arrangements and distributed fruits and juice among the devotees.
Several pilgrims said that such services provide them with much-needed energy during their journey. After travelling long distances, receiving fruits and beverages helps reduce physical fatigue. Such arrangements are particularly beneficial for elderly devotees, women and children.
Special attention was also given to cleanliness at the service camp. Proper arrangements were made for the distribution of fruits and juice, while queues were maintained so that devotees could receive refreshments without difficulty.
Service Described as a Religious Duty
The organisers said that the purpose of the service was not publicity but to provide assistance to devotees. They said serving pilgrims during a religious journey provides a sense of spiritual satisfaction.
They added that there could be no greater service than helping Shiva devotees. Pilgrims undertake difficult journeys with faith and devotion, and providing them with water, food, fruits and other essential facilities is a social responsibility.
Local residents also extended their support to the service programme. Several people contributed fruits, juice and other materials, while young volunteers took responsibility for distribution and crowd management. Members of social organisations were also actively involved in the service camp.
Message of Social Service Alongside Devotion
The programme conveyed a message of social service along with religious devotion. Organisers said that capable members of society should come forward to help pilgrims and those in need. The tradition of service during religious occasions helps strengthen social bonds and a spirit of cooperation.
Devotees also appreciated the efforts of those involved in the service camp. Several pilgrims said that such arrangements provide relief during long journeys and also strengthen the spirit of cooperation, brotherhood and humanity in society.
Volunteers Played an Important Role
Volunteers played a key role in distributing fruits and juice. They managed the crowd, assisted devotees and ensured that refreshments reached as many pilgrims as possible. Tired and elderly devotees were given special attention during the distribution.
People present at the service camp said that such initiatives during religious journeys are examples of social unity and human values. While devotees express their faith in Lord Shiva, members of society contribute through selfless service to make their journey more comfortable.
