Patna: Monsoon has once again become fully active across Bihar in the month of July. Good news has emerged for the residents of the state who were struggling with humid heat caused by clear skies and blazing sunshine over the past few days. The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rainfall in several districts of the state, bringing high expectations of a drop in temperatures and much-needed relief from the scorching heat. According to the Meteorological Center, monsoon activities have intensified in Bihar due to a low-pressure area and cyclonic circulation formed over the northwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining coastal areas. In view of this, the Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for the next few days in more than 18 districts of the state.

Bhojpur and Buxar: Intense sunlight and humidity in both these districts of the Shahabad region had troubled people over the past two days. Now, according to the latest forecast, skies will remain overcast here, with possibilities of light to moderate and, at some places, heavy rainfall.
Siwan and Gopalganj: Movement of monsoon clouds has also begun in these districts of northwestern Bihar. Showers accompanied by strong winds are expected here as well, which will record a drop in temperatures.
Araria and Seemanchal Regions: Spells of rain are also being witnessed in eastern Bihar districts like Araria, Purnia, Katihar, and Kishanganj. Intermittent drizzles or heavy showers are likely amidst the playing hide-and-seek of clouds here.
Arwal and Surrounding South Bihar Areas: Weather patterns have also changed in southwestern districts like Arwal, Rohtas, Kaimur, and Aurangabad, which is expected to greatly assist farmers in paddy transplantation and agricultural chores.

Due to sudden bright sunshine in various parts of the state last Saturday, an increase of 1 to 2 degrees Celsius was recorded in temperatures.
