MLA Prof. Dr. Lalit Narayan Mandal Inspects Health Centre, Block and Circle Offices Directs Officials and Doctors to Give Priority to Public Convenience
Shahkund : Regional MLA of Shahkund, Professor Dr. Lalit Narayan Mandal, inspected the health centre, block office and circle office on Saturday to assess the functioning of government services in the area. During the inspection, he reviewed the work being carried out by various departments and directed officials and doctors to ensure better facilities for the general public. He said that people visiting government institutions should not face unnecessary difficulties and that their grievances should be addressed promptly.
The inspection led to increased activity among officials and employees at the concerned offices. At the health centre, the MLA reviewed the medical facilities being provided to patients. He also took stock of the availability of medicines, presence of doctors, treatment arrangements and cleanliness.
Patient Facilities Reviewed at Health Centre
During his inspection of the health centre, the MLA sought information from doctors and healthcare workers about the facilities available to patients. He said government health centres are important medical institutions for people living in rural areas. Therefore, patients visiting these centres must receive timely treatment, essential medicines and proper guidance.
He directed doctors to treat patients and their family members with sensitivity. He also stressed that seriously ill patients should be referred to better-equipped health facilities or hospitals without unnecessary delay whenever required. The MLA also emphasised maintaining cleanliness and ensuring the availability of essential resources at the health centre.
Government Schemes Reviewed at Block Office
The MLA subsequently inspected the block office and sought information from officials about the implementation of various government schemes. He said the benefits of government schemes must reach eligible beneficiaries without unnecessary delays.
He instructed officials to prioritise the grievances of ordinary residents and resolve them according to established rules. He also said people should not be forced to repeatedly visit government offices for routine matters.
The MLA advised employees to remain present at the office on time and expedite the disposal of pending cases. He said the primary purpose of the administrative system is to provide services to citizens and therefore officials must remain accountable to the public.
Revenue Matters Reviewed at Circle Office
During his inspection of the circle office, the MLA reviewed land and revenue-related matters. He sought information about the status of cases involving mutation, land disputes, certificates and other revenue-related issues.
He said people should not have to wait for long periods for the resolution of land and revenue matters. Cases should be disposed of within the prescribed rules and no genuine complaint should be ignored. He directed officials to maintain transparency in their work.
Officials Directed to Prioritise Public Grievances
During the inspection, the MLA clearly instructed officials to listen respectfully to people visiting government offices. He pointed out that many residents from rural areas travel considerable distances to bring their grievances before the administration. Therefore, it is the responsibility of officials to listen to their concerns seriously and take appropriate action.
He said any negligence in delivering government schemes and public services would not be tolerated. He also urged officials to maintain better coordination between different departments for efficient administration.
